Sticky Bombs

Sticky Bombs are an upgrade from regular Bombs. They are obtained by picking up a jar of Bomb paste, which appears as a white jar with a red "P" on it. The upgrade is sold in bomb shops and can also be found randomly within crates. A guaranteed Sticky Bomb upgrade can be found by killing a giant spider. Once you have obtained Sticky Bombs, the bomb icon on the top of the screen will change.
Functionality
Edit

Added by MagFlareSticky Bombs work exactly the same as regular bombs, with the same explosion radius and same detonation timer. The one difference is that Sticky Bombs will stick to whatever surface they hit, allowing you to easily destroy tiles in hard-to-reach places. As of version 0.99.5, Sticky Bombs will stick to damsels, shopkeepers, as well as most enemies. Using this feature, you can turn a damsel into a walking explosive, allowing you to bomb areas you might otherwise have had to take damage to destroy. It's possible to plant a Sticky Bomb on a damsel while carrying her by ducking and hitting the bomb shortcut key, which is easy to do accidentally. One can also drop a sticky bomb onto a stunned shopkeeper in the brief time they're down after being jumped on.
Disadvantages
Edit
Once you pick up a Sticky Bomb jar, you cannot ever use regular Bombs again for the rest of the current game. This can be crippling because regular bombs have various uses that can't be pulled off well with Sticky Bombs, since once thrown they often stick into obstacles in the way of your intended destination, and unlike normal bombs, you can't make use of bouncing and throw them into places not in a direct line for your positions, something that is very useful in killing Shopkeepers safely.
In light of the above, for a player experienced with throwing bombs and their trajectory, it is actually wiser to avoid Sticky Bomb pickups, so that he can continue to use the bouncing of bombs to his advantage.
