Vlad's Amulet is a unique item that grants the Spelunker invulnerability to Magma Men and lava. It is only available on 5-1 of Hell inside a block at the top of Vlad's Castle (visible with the Udjat Eye or spectacles). Only one can be acquired each game.
The amulet is a unique item, due to the fact that it is the only item that completely negates a specific damage type. It is especially valuable in Hell, due to the constant presence of lava and Magma Men. Swimming in lava can be a quick escape to a sticky situation with enemies, and it also allows you to collect treasure that drops in lava before it burns up.
